Terms and Conditions

  • Welcome to Handy Boys Group of Services,
    Please read through all of our terms & conditions.
    We are multi services providing company.
    (with our own plus sub-contractor’s teams)
    Removals - Man and Van - Deliveries 
  • Please hold a nearest allowed parking space for Van/Truck. Providing parking is the responsibility of the customer while loading and unloading for removals, (try to reserve a space for the van outside before it arrives or call the local council and get a suspension or permit where necessary).
    There will be an additional charge of £27.50 when passing through the central London Charge Zone for your move, other toll or parking charges will be charged by customer accordingly. (In case it apply) 
  • Payments can be made in Cash, by Debit/Credit Cards through our website, by Bank Transfer or by cheques. (In advance)
    Cash, Bank Transfer and Card payments must be done on work completion. Cheques must be received at least a week prior to moving day.
    Card and Cheque payments are subject to 3% administration charge (minimum £5).
    We will require you to pay a initial booking deposit payment in advance.
    Arrival / Delivery Times:
    We will do our best to arrive within the time scale stated, however, arrival times are estimated.
    Delays to pick-up/delivery times are sometimes unavoidable (due to traffic, accidents, weather etc).
    In case of any vehicle breakdown we will provide and arrange replacement for you but may it take little longer.
     
  • You may incur extra charges if the actual number of items on the time exceeds the number of items that were mentioned in your booking.
    A couple of boxes more would not normally cause a problem, however, if you have under-estimated your items by more than this the driver will add on an extra charge depending on the number of items and time taken to load them as it effect on labour cost.
    We also reserve the right to limit the number of goods to the amount quoted in the booking.
     
  • We accept no responsibility for damage or breakage to items that have not been packed/protected by us.
    It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that items will fit in the new premises (eg: the size of sofa and size of aperture) Our removal drivers will not be insured to remove doors or windows in such cases and it is up to the customer to book a another professional specialist if needed.
    You may also incur additional charges if you have not informed us of awkward access.
    Awkward access can include, no vehicle access, no parking available in close proximity to the property and cramped stair and hallway conditions where large items of furniture such as sofas will not fit.
     
  • We may deny taking items which are risky or not possible to get in or out of the property in case we haven't been informed about such issue in advance.
    We reserve the right to add extra costs due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g.: waiting for keys or gaining entry, incorrect addresses, waiting time, etc.) 
  • Postponement or Cancellation:
    If you postpone or cancel after your booking is confirmed you will be charged 40% of the confirmed quote (minimum £50).
    If you postpone or cancel within 24 hours of the date of the job you will be charged the value of the job in full.
    Our teams are professional and follows health and safeties, so they cant take off shoes while moving.
    Verbal or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.
    If the movers are forced to leave the job because of abuse from the customer verbal or
    otherwise the customer will still be liable to pay in full.
    We have a "Goods in Transit" insurance policy which can be endorsed to cover client's goods.
    Please notify us of the value of your goods to be insured and we can provide you with a removals quote including an Insurance option if you required.
    Its only cover for the items seen and packed by us, also mentioned as written with value in booking confirmation.
    You will be only able to claim after full payment of our services, if our payment was held to cover any claim or loss, then you have no right to process claim through insurance.
    Please note that this insurance has been arranged solely in the name of our company. As our customer, you will have no enforceable rights under our insurance policy.
    In order to provide a quote with an insurance option, we need to have an inventory list prepared in advance and approved by our insurers.
    As declared to us in writing, the sum insured shall not exceed £5,000.00 and confirmed in writing by us. 
  • Insurers will take into consideration the age, quality, degree of use and consequent market value of items when calculating the settlement.
    Please note that no property shall be abandoned to insurers, but insurers reserve the right to claim appropriate salvage on any property which is the subject of a claim settlement under this policy.
    If the customer’s goods in-store insured under this insurance are, at the time of loss or damage, collectively of greater value than the value declared, then the Insured shall bear the equivalent proportion of the claim in the same ratio as the actual value exceeds the declared value.
    Where any insured item consists of items in a pair or set, this insurance will not pay more than the value of any particular part or parts which may be lost or damaged, without reference to any special value which such part or parts may have as part of a pair or set, nor more than a proportionate part of the insured value of the pair or set. 
  • If the insured shall make any claim knowing the same to be false or fraudulent as regards to the amount or otherwise, this insurance shall become void and all claims hereunder shall be forfeited, and legal action will be taken and fraud will be reported. 
  • All claims arising must be notified on delivery of the property, whether unpacked or not.
    and will have to be available at delivery.
    In line with the policy conditions, there is a compulsory access of £250 of every claim for loss or damage covered by insurance. 
  • You must have to provide us with proof of purchase and value, you must have to provide us with the current value of every single item.
    Our team will figure out from the different market and will give you an offer according to the market value of similar condition and used item. After all, discussing with our subcontractor and insurance team.
    We must have to take pictures of the item before starting the job if you will not mention it means you moving your items at your own risk, as some customers want to keep moving prices as cheapest option and they want to done as quick as possible and don't let us do proper packing and moving and they manage/lead the team.
    We are also working as contractors we will share our sub-contractor team’s details to legal authorities if required.
     
  • We are very reliable and friendly and check all workers record/history, we are always here to help with if you have any complain about workers.
